Donetsk, Jun 16 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin has signed a decree allowing DPR residents to pay their utility bills in the Ukrainian currency.

The document posted on Pushilin’s official website amends Decree No 106 “On temporary procedure for the use of cash Ukrainian hryvnia in the DPR territory” dated March 26, 2022.

“Utility and power supply companies shall accept payments from natural persons both in Russian rubles and cash Ukrainian hryvnias at the rate fixed by subitem 1.3 of this Decree, ” it said.

The Central Republican Bank and other banks in the DPR are ordered to ensure the acceptance of such payments in hryvnias. Decree No 296 was signed on June 16 and comes into force from the date of its official publication. Payments for goods, works and services in cash hryvnias are made at the rate two rubles per one hryvnia.*jk
