Donetsk, Sep 15 — DAN. Some 100 agribusinesses of the Donetsk People’s Republic have been entered on the register of companies eligible for state subsidies, DPR Acting Head Denis Pushilin said on Friday.
“The process to subsidize part of farmers’ costs and lease agricultural machinery has gathered pace, ” Pushilin said. “Ninety-seven companies have been listed as subsidy recipients; the agreements concluded with 93 of them are worth some 589 million rubles.”
In May — September, DPR agribusinesses submitted 32 applications to the Rosagroleasing company. Some 90 pieces of equipment have already been supplied, he said.
Pushilin also said that plans were in place to build seven grain storage facilities in the Republic, each with a capacity of 20,000 tons. Their commissioning will increase the volume of grain stored in silos by more than 25 percent of harvested crops.
The DPR farmers began to enjoy quite different development opportunities after the Republic’s accession to Russia, the regional leader said.*jk
