Donetsk, Jun 14 — DAN. Five civilians including a child were killed in shelling by Kiev gunmen in the period from 03:00, June 13 to 03:00, June 14, the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Tuesday.
Strikes were delivered at the Budyonnovsky, Voroshilovsky, Kuibyshevsky, Kirovsky, Petrovsky and Kievsky districts of the DPR capital, Yelenovka, Lyubovka, Staromikhailovka, Yasinovataya, Yenakiyevo and Verkhnetoretskoye on the Donetsk axis and two districts in Gorlovka, Dolomitnoye, Golmovsky, Mikhailovka, Ozeryanovka and Panteleimonovka on the Gorlovka axis.
The enemy used “Uragan” and “Grad” multiple rocket launchers, 155mm, 152mm and 122mm artillery, 120mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms. Overall, Ukrainian forces fired 620 rounds of ammunition of caliber over 12.7mm in the designated period.
Five civilians including an 11-year-old child were killed in the shelling and another 39 civilians including three children were wounded .
Over the past 24 hours, 95 houses and civil infrastructure facilities were damaged in three Donetsk districts, Gorlovka and Verkhnetoretskoye. Reports on Monday said that the enemy had shelled five hospitals including a maternity home in the DPR capital.
In the previous 24-hour period, Ukrainian army units fired 242 rounds of ammunition at the Republic killing one civilian and wounding two minors. The daily report does not include information on damage in liberated areas or areas where fighting against Ukrainian armed formations is ongoing.
On Monday, Ukrainian armed formations delivered massive fire at settlements on the Donetsk and Gorlovka axes; the intensity of fire at Donetsk was unprecedented.
On Tuesday, the enemy resumed strikes at DPR at around 4:00 using heavy and missile artillery.
As the situation sharply deteriorated, DPR Head Denis Pushilin said that the allies, in the first place the Russian Federation, would use all necessary additional forces.*jk
