Donetsk, Aug 25 — DAN.  Ukrainian gunmen have shelled the Donetsk People’s Republic 38 times over the past 24 hours (from 6:00, August 24, to 6:00, August 25), the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said on Thursday.

The enemy used “HIMARS” and “Uragan” multiple rocket launchers, 155mm, 152mm and 122mm artillery and 120mm mortar on the Donetsk axis, “Grad” MLRS, 155mm, 152mm and 152mm artillery, 120mm mortar and unguided 80mm airborne missile (launched from the ground) on the Gorlovka axis, the JCCC said.

Overall, Ukrainian forces expended 243 rounds of ammunition.

Seven DPR settlements came under fire: Donetsk, Zaitsevo, Gorlovka, Novobakhmutovka, Makeyevka, Staromikhailovka and Alexandrovka.

Three civilians have been killed in Donetsk’s Petrovsky district, Vesyoloye and Gorlovka over the past 24 hours and another ten have been wounded in Donetsk’s Kuibyshevsky and Kalininsky districts, Staromikhailovka and Gorlovka.

Ukrainian strikes damaged 33 houses in the Kirovsky, Petrovsky and Kuibyshevsky districts of Donetsk, Makeyevka and Gorlovka and nine civil infrastructure facilities.

In the previous 24-hour period, the JCCC recorded 40 strikes at the DPR by Ukrainian armed formations.*jk
