Donetsk, Oct 25 – DAN. Ukrainian forces have shelled the frontline areas of the Donetsk People’s Republic more than 250 times in the past 24 hours, a DPR senior defense official said.
"Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 252 times, including 147 times with artillery and mortars,” Operations Command deputy commander Colonel Eduard Basurin told a news briefing at the Donetsk News Agency.
According to the Command, Ukrainian forces targeted Zaitsevo in Gorlovka outskirts, Yasinovataya and Spartak township, Aleksandrovka, Trudovskiye villages west of Donetsk, Sakhanka and Sosnovskoye in DPR south.
As a result, a DPR servicemen died, another one and а civilian men were wounded.
Kiev forces shelled Yasinovataya industrial area with 122mm artillery overnight, a defense source told DAN. Donetsk western outskirts were also targeted, one civilian sustained injury.
