Donetsk, Jan 18 — DAN. Ukrainian 155mm artillery has shelled Gorlovka’s Nikitovsky district twice on Wednesday morning, the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) reported.
“The strikes were delivered at 6:00 and 7:30 from the Kiev-controlled Dzerzhinsk; the enemy expended 15 rounds of ammunition overall, ” the JCCC said.
At 8:50, Ukrainian armed formations fired three 155mm projectiles at Donetsk’s Kievsky district from the settlement of Tonenkoye.
No casualties or damage were immediately reported in both cases.
Gorlovka mayor Ivan Prikhodko said that Ukrainian forces have shelled the town more than 9,000 times since the new phase of the conflict which began in February 2022. Over this period, Ukrainian gunmen have killed 98 civilians in Gorlovka and wounded another 351.
On Tuesday, k the enemy fired 123 multiple rocket launcher and cannon artillery rounds of ammunition at the Republic targeting the Leninsky, Kievsky, Kuibyshevsky and Kirovsky districts of Donetsk, Gorlovka, Khartsyzsk and their suburbs. Two civilians were killed in artillery attacks and two homes and four infrastructure facilities were damaged.*jk
