Donetsk, May 12 - DAN. Ukrainian gunmen have shelled the Donetsk People’s Republic 38 times over the past 24 hours expending 364 rounds of ammunition on the Donetsk and Gorlovka axes, the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported.

On the Donetsk axis, fire was delivered at the DPR capital’s Petrovsky, Kuibyshevsky and Kirovsky districts, the settlements of Kashtanovoye, Gornyak, Alexandrovka, Staromikhailovka, Yasinovataya and the Zemlyanki neighborhood in northern Makeyevka and its Chervonogvardeisky district. The enemy also shelled Shakhta Gagarina, Mikhailovka, Golmovsky, Panteleimonovka, Zheleznaya Balka and Glubokaya Balka on the Gorlovka axis using “Grad” and “Uragan” multiple rocket launches, 152mm and 122m artillery, 120mm mortars, grenade launchers, large caliber machine guns and small arms.

One civilian was reportedly killed and 14 were wounded in the shelling. The strikes also damaged 20 houses and four civil infrastructure facilities. On Wednesday evening, reports said that three people had been wounded in DPR liberated areas including a three-year-old child.

The JCCC morning report does not include the information on strikes or damage to civil infrastructure in liberated areas or areas where fighting against Ukrainian armed formations is ongoing.

In the previous 24-hour period, three DPR civilians were killed and another nine were wounded in the shelling, and three dozen houses and infrastructure facilities were damaged.*jk
