Donetsk, May 6 - DAN. Four civilians have been killed, eight injured over the past day as Ukrainian forces shelled the DPR with 200-plus projectiles, the Republic's Mission to the JCCC said.
The enemy used heavy artillery, MLRS systems, mortars, and grenade launchers.
"Four civilians have been killed, four injured, one of them a child," the report reads. Five more civilians were reported injured in recently liberated areas.
Fifty-five households and infrastructure facilities have been damaged as a total of 10 cities and towns came under fire.
Over the previous reporting period, 194 rounds exploded on the DPR territory.
The morning reports issued by the JCCC exclude information on casualties in the areas where active military action is ongoing, such as Mariupol.
Russia started a special military operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the decision was made after the DPR and LPR Heads addressed him asking for help.
The Russian leader said that Moscow is not planning to occupy Ukrainian territory, the only goal is to protect people who have been continuously shelled and subjected to other forms of genocide by Ukraine for eight years. *ot
