Donetsk, Oct 7 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire on the contact line with the Donetsk People’s Republic twice over the past 24 hours, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Thursday.
On the Gorlovka axis, the enemy fired three 120mm mortar rounds and ten AGS grenade launcher rounds, the report said. Twenty-five grenade launcher rounds were fired on the Mariupol axis. Ukrainian forces expended 38 rounds of ammunition overall.
Strikes were delivered at the Shakhta Gagarina settlement in Gorlovka and the Leninskoye village in southern DPR.
The Ukrainian representatives in the JCCC routinely ignored Donetsk’s request to use the coordination mechanism for establishing a ceasefire, the DPR Office said.
No civilian casualties or damage to civil infrastructure were recorded over the designated period.
In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian armed formations fired at the DPR territory once.
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been in effect in Donbass since July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapon, deployment of heavy armaments in and around settlements, engineer works and unmanned aerial vehicle flights.*jk
