Donetsk, Jun 7 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations have fired 605 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours causing numerous civilian casualties, the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Tuesday.
Strikes on the Donetsk axis were delivered at the Kalininsky, Kuibyshevsky, Leninsky, Kievsky and Petrovsky districts of the DPR capital, Alexandrovka, Lozovoye, Makeyevka’s Chervonogvardeisky district and its neighborhood Zemlyanki, Yasinovataya, Mineralnoye, Yelenovka and Volnovakha. On the Gorlovka axis, the enemy shelled Gorlovka’s Kalinisky and Nikitovsky districts, Zaitsevo, Golmovsky, Bairak, Shakhta Rumyantseva, Shakhta Izotova and Shakhta Gagarina, Russky Krai, Miikhailovka and Panteleimonovka.
The enemy used “Grad” multiple rocket launchers, 155mm, 152mm and 122mm cannon artillery, 120mm and 82mm mortars and infantry fighting vehicle cannons.
Donetsk water supply facilities were damaged in Ukrainian forces fire.
At least nine civilians have been killed and another 18 have been wounded in Donetsk’s Kievsky and Petrovsky districts, Makeyevka, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya and Volnovakha over the past 24 hours. Three Donetsk water utility personnel are among the wounded. Ukrainian strikes also damaged 57 houses and civil infrastructure facilities.
In the previous 24-hour period, Ukrainian armed formations fired 457 rounds of ammunition at DPR areas killing one civilian and wounding another six. *jk
