Donetsk, Jan 24 – DAN. The enemy intensified shelling targeting DPR 1,278 times at DPR territory over the past 24 hours, DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin told reporters on Tuesday.
“The situation in DPR remains tense. Criminal Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 1,278 times over the past 24 hours, up 287 from the previous day,” Basurin said.
“The enemy fired 180 152mm artillery rounds, 308 mortar rounds and 707 grenade launcher rounds, and also used infantry fighting vehicle cannons and small arms,” he added.
Kiev forces targeted Aleksandrovka, Staromikhailovka and Signalnoye villages west of Donetsk, Zaitsevo, Zheleznaya Balka and Mikhailovka villages outside Gorlovka, Verkhnetoretskoye outside Yasinovataya, Zhabichevo, Spartak and Vasilyevka villages in Donetsk airport area and Sakhanka, Kominternovo and Leninskoye villages in DPR south. Four houses were damaged by shelling.
In Sladkoye (outside Donetsk – eds DAN), 11 kilometres from the contact line, the location of 17 trucks with munitions was revealed. In Olginka village area (outside Volnovakha – eds DAN), eight train cars of Ukrainian army personnel arrived,” Basurin said citing intelligence reports
A reconnaissance platoon arrived in responsibility zone of 72nd brigade 1st battalion stationed in Avdeyevka to carry out special missions in DPR territory. *jk
