Donetsk, Sep 12 — DAN. Ukraine has lost more than 71,000 servicemen during its counteroffensive, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a session of the Eastern Economic Forum on Tuesday.
“Ukraine is conducting a so-called counteroffensive. Of course, there are no results. Right now, we won’t say where it’s a failure or not a failure. There are losses, big losses. Since the start of the counteroffensive, manpower losses have reached 71,500 people,” Putin said.
He added that the Ukrainian army had also lost 543 tanks and almost 18,000 armored vehicles.*jk
