Donetsk, Nov 24 — DAN. A prisoner exchange with Ukraine on Thursday will return home 50 Russian army personnel, Donetsk People’s Republic Acting Head Denis Pushilin said adding that Russia and Ukraine are exchanging 50 POWs each.

“Today, we’re bringing back 50 Russian fighters from Ukrainian prison cells, ” Pushilin said. “We’re handing over as many POWs to Ukraine, mostly Ukrainian army servicemen.”

The sides exchanged 35 POWs each in the previous swap on November 23. There were four DPR servicemen in the group handed over by Kiev. 

Later on, DPR ombudsperson Darya Morozova told the Donetsk News Agency that the Republic had listed some 250 DPR militiamen as missing in Ukrainian territory since the beginning of the special military operation in February.*jk
