Donetsk, Oct 17 — DAN. Interim Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin has said that a prisoner exchange with Ukraine under the formula “110 for 110” is taking place on Monday.
“Eighty merchant sailors are returning home from prison cells of the Ukrainian regime, who have been held hostage, ” Pushilin said. “Also, 30 servicemen from the Donetsk People’s Republic, Lugansk People’s Republic and other Russian regions are being freed. We’re mostly handing over women to Kiev.”
Earlier on Monday, the DPR leader said in a live stream on Telegram that news about a prisoner swap could be expected shortly. “We have to get out everybody, ” he said then.*jk
