Donetsk, Sep 15 — DAN. The number of volunteers who signed contracts to participate in the special military operation has increased by more than 30,000 in a few days, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko on Friday.
“A couple of days ago I said that 270,000 men, our fighters have signed contracts with the Russian armed forces but these figures were outdated, ” Putin told reporters. “Today, I received a report that contacts have been signed by 300,000 people who are ready — I want to underscore it — to sacrifice their lives in the interests of their Motherland, protecting Russian interests.”
Earlier he said that 1,000 to 1,500 people sign military service contracts every day. The head of state underscored that people were joining the army consciously and voluntarily.*jk
