Donetsk, Oct 28 – DAN. Ukrainian forces shelled DPR with 590 mortar, artillery and tank cannons rounds overnight, a DPR defense source told DAN.
"From 6 p.m. to 2.30 a.m. Ukrainian side shelled DPR territory from several directions simultaneously. The most intense fire was opened on Makeevka (Donetsk agglomeration) and Elenovka (south of Donetsk). Elenovka was hit with 100 152mm artillery rounds. “Overall 590 artillery, mortar and tank cannons rounds were fired."
Ukrainian side shelled Aleksandrovka, Trudovskiye and Staromikhailovka west of Donetsk, Spartak north of the capital, Yasinovataya industrial area, Leninskoye and Bezymennoye of Novoazovskiy dostrict.
The source said that Kiev forces also used infantry fighting vehicles cannons, grenade launchers and small arms.
Yesterday Kiev forces shelled Makeevka living quarters, leaving two killed and seven injured including children. The previous night Ukraine shelled DPR with 60 artillery and mortar rounds, thus making a dramatic 10-fold increase in the number of ceasefire violations.
