Donetsk, Sep 19 — DAN. Ukrainian armed formations fired more than 250 rounds of ammunition at settlements of the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours (from 06:00, September 18 to 06:00, September 19 the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) reported on Monday.
The enemy used “Uragan” multiple rocket launchers, cannon artillery including NATO-standard 155mm pieces, tank guns and mortars to fire 251 rounds of ammunition at four districts of Donetsk, Yasinovataya, Dokuchayevsk, Yelenovka, Novobakhmutovka, Zheleznaya Balka, Shirokaya Balka, Mineralnoye, Yakovlevka and Zaitsevo, the JCCC said.
Five civilians were killed and another 16 were wounded, and 16 homes and nine infrastructure facilities were damaged in Ukrainian artillery attacks.
On Sunday, the enemy shelled the Yelenovka penitentiary where captured Ukrainian gunmen are held. One of them was killed and another five were wounded in shelling. Damage assessment has not been carried out yet.
In the previous reporting period, nine civilians were killed and 17 were wounded, and 44 homes and eight infrastructure facilities were damaged in the DPR in strikes by Ukrainian armed formations. *jk
