Donetsk, Feb 7 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire on the contact line with the Donetsk People’s Republic five times over the past 24 hours, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Monday.

Fire was delivered at the areas of the Vesyoloye village, Verkhnetoretskoye (Yuzhnoye) and Shakhta Trudovskaya settlements on the Donetsk axis, and the Kominternovo and Leninskoye villages on the Mariupol axis, the DPR Office said.

The enemy expended 22 rounds of ammunition of calibre over 12.7mm using grenade launchers and also delivered small arms and sniper fire. A DPR militiaman was killed in the shelling.

No ceasefire violations were recorded on the contact line between Ukraine and the Lugansk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours.

The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been formally in effect in Donbass since July 27, 2020. The document bans the use of any weapons, deployment of heavy armaments in and around settlements, engineer works at troops’ positions and unmanned aerial vehicle flights.*jk
