Donetsk, Oct 20 – DAN. Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire four times over the past 24 hours, the DPR mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said.
Spartak, Vesyoloye and Panteleimonovka came under 120 mm mortar and grenade launcher fire.
No casualties have been reported.
The security situation in the region has been tense lately. On October 13, Ukrainian armed forces abducted an LPR officer affiliated with the JCCC in the Zolotoye security zone, causing outrage in both Republics.
On October 17, a Ukrainian attack left power transmission infrastructure damaged in Yasinovataya and another shelling claimed the life of an LPR defender.
The Additional Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire were signed at the Contact Group meeting on July 22 to reinforce and control the indefinite ceasefire in effect since July 21, 2019, the latest in the series of more than 20 reconfirmation and announcements of the “silence regime”.
