Donetsk, Jan 19 — DAN. Ukrainian army units shelled Donetsk twice on Thursday morning, the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) reported.

The Petrovsky district came under fire soon after midnight and the Kievsky district was shelled an hour and half later, the JCCC said adding that the enemy had used NATO-standard cannon artillery to fire 11 155mm projectiles.

On Wednesday, Ukrainian forces fired 274 rounds of ammunition at four of Donetsk’s nine districts, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, Makeyevka, Dokuchayevsk and their outskirts. A woman was wounded in Gorlovka’s Kalininsky district and 23 homes were damaged.

On Tuesday, the enemy fired 123 ammunition rounds at the DPR killing two civilians.

Orthodox Christians are celebrating Epiphany of the Lord on January 19. A number of DPR towns dropped plans to make arrangements for ice hole Epiphany bathing for safety considerations.*jk
