Donetsk, Jan 20 - DAN. Ukrainian forces opened fire at the Donetsk People’s Republic once over the past 24 hours; no ceasefire violations occurred on the contact line with the Lugansk People’s Republic, the Donbass Republics’ Offices at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Thursday.
Small arms and sniper fire was delivered at the Shakhta 6/7 settlement in Gorlovka, the JCCC said.
In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian armed formations violated the ceasefire once.
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been formally in effect in Donbass since July 27, 2020. The document bans, among other things, the use of weapons, deployment of hardware next to settlements and engineer works at troops’ positions. *jk
