Donetsk, Jan 23 — DAN. Ukrainian gunmen have fired 74 155mm artillery rounds at Donetsk People’s Republic settlements on Monday, said the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC).
Donetsk, Gorlovka and Yasinovataya have been under enemy fire since Monday morning. Four civilians were wounded in artillery attacks on Donetsk including three power engineers who were on the way to a repair location.
Two single-family homes were damaged in the Kievsky district of Donetsk, one in the Petrovsky district and three in the Kuibyshevsky district, city mayor Alexey Kulemzin said.
In Yasinovataya, a local school and Central District Hospital were damaged by artillery fire. Yasinovataya mayor Dmitry Shevchenko said that there had been no civilian casualties.
A power line and a gas pipe were damaged in the Golmovsky settlement in northern Gorlovka. Gorlovka mayor Ivan Prikhodko said enemy projectiles had exploded near a park and the Rassvet recreation center. Nobody was hurt.
Earlier reports said that Ukrainian forces fired 16 rounds of 155mm “NATO” caliber ammunition at the DPR overnight to Monday. *jk
