Donetsk, Aug 30 — DAN. Ukrainian armed formations have shelled the Donetsk People’s Republic 77 times over the past 24 hours expending 366 rounds of ammunition, the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Tuesday.
Ukrainian forces targeted nine settlements including Donetsk, Makeyevka, Gorlovka and Yasinovataya. Five civilians were wounded and 30 houses and eight civil infrastructure facilities were damaged in Ukrainian artillery attacks.
The enemy used “Uragan” and “Grad” multiple rocket launchers, organic and western artillery pieces and mortars. “Lepestok” anti-personnel mines were dropped on Gorlovka’s Nikitovsky district.
Tuesday morning in the Republic began with strikes at Donetsk, Makeyevka and Gorlovka. The Slavic Culture building in Donetsk has taken damage; it is the second time it has come under fire recently.
In the previous 24-hour period, Ukrainian armed formations fired 242 rounds of ammunition at the Republic killing two civilians and wounding another ten.*jk
