Donetsk, Feb 15 - DAN. Ukrainian forces fired at the Donetsk People’s Republic territory four times over the past 24 hours, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Tuesday.
Strikes were delivered at the areas of Gorlovka’s Zaitsevo (Yuzhnoye) settlement, Trudovskaya and Alexandrovka settlements in Donetsk and Kominternovo village in DPR south. The enemy employed 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms expending 18 rounds of ammunition of calibre over 12.7mm.
No new casualties or damage have been reported.
In the previous reporting period, Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire four times. No ceasefire violations were recorded on the contact line between the Lugansk People’s Republic and Ukraine in the past 24 hours.
The package of tighter ceasefire control measures has been formally in effect in Donbass since July 27, 2020. The document bans, among other things, the use of weapons, deployment of hardware next to settlements and engineer works at troops’ positions. Tensions in Donbass mounted after the New Year and Christmas holidays. *jk
