Donetsk, Jul 28 — DAN. Ukrainian armed formations have fired 842 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours (from 06:00, July 27 to 06:00, July 28), the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Thursday.
“Over the past 24 hours, the DPR Office recorded 146 strikes by Ukrainian armed formations, the highest fire intensity since the beginning of escalation (on February 17 — eds Donetsk News Agency), ” the report said.
The enemy used “Grad” multiple rocket launchers, cannon artillery, tank guns, 80mm unguided airborne missiles (launched from the ground) and mortars.
Fire was delivered at the Kievsky, Kirovsky, Kuibyshevsky and Petrovsky districts of Donetsk, Makeyevka, Yasinovataya and Gorlovka and their neighboring settlements of Yelenovka, Staromikhailovka, Lozovoye, Mineralnoye, Yakovlevka, Novobakhmutovka, Panteleimonovka, Dolomitnoye, Golmovsky and Shirokaya Balka.
Four civilians have been killed in Ukrainian artillery attacks and another 11 have been wounded. Damage was caused to 33 houses and seven infrastructure facilities.
In the previous 24-hour period, Ukrainian armed formations fired 332 rounds of ammunition at the Republic wounding three civilians.*jk
