Donetsk, Nov 28 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic forces have broken through to the center of Maryinka and are evacuating town residents from the zone of fighting, DPR Acting Head Denis Pushilin said on Monday.
“As for Maryinka, the fighting is already taking place in the town center. Our units are evacuating people to a safe place. There’s been some success, ” Pushilin told Russia 24 news channel.
Maryinka is a small town and district center west of Donetsk. It had a population of more than 9,200 before the recent escalation of fighting.
