DPR reports two-fold increase in number of strikes by Kiev forces over past 24 hours

Donetsk, Dec 19 - DAN. The number of strikes at DPR territory by Ukrainian forces has increased by nearly two times to 33 over the past 24 hours from the previous reporting period, a DPR Operations Command officer said on Tuesday.

“Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 33 times,” the officer said. “Sixteen settlements in the Republic came under Ukrainian army units fire.”

Ukrainian army units used artillery, mortars, grenade launchers and small arms.

Seventeen ceasefire violations by Ukrainian forces were recorded in the previous reporting period.

Earlier reports said a woman was wounded as Ukrainian forces shelled Gorlovka and its northern outskirts, and that at least nine houses and a outpatient hospital were damaged. *jk
