Donetsk, Apr 28 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic militiamen, supported by Russian armed forces, have killed 59 Ukrainian invaders and destroyed an ammunition dump over the past 24 hours, DPR People’s Militia deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Thursday.
“Over the past 24 hours, our servicemen killed 59 Ukrainian nationalists and destroyed one 120mm mortar emplacement, one tank, two load carriers and an ammunition dump,” Basurin said adding that militia units had captured a BM-21 Grad multiple launcher, one infantry fighting vehicle and two armored personnel carriers.
The military operation to protect the Donbass Republics began on February 24, 2022. As of now, at least 167 DPR settlements have been liberated from Ukrainian forces; in Mariupol, nationalists are blocked on the premises of the Azovstal plant. Heavy fighting is ongoing on the Donetsk axis.*jk
