Donetsk, Mar 23 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin on Tuesday handed in a Gold Star medal to the widow of DPR Hero Guards Captain sergey Nosovskiy who had been posthumously awarded for his feat, and St George’s Cross, IV Class, to the daughter of Junior Sergeant Vladimir Pyatak, who had been killed in the line of duty.

“It is very hard to hand in posthumous decorations. Today, a Gold Star medal was handed in to the widow of Guards Captain Sergey Nosovskiy, who had been awarded the title of DPR Hero.  I also handed in St George’s Cross, IV Class, to the 19-year-old daughter of Junior Sergeant Vladimir Pyatak who had been killed in action. It is impossible to express in words the grief and pain caused by the loss of relatives,” Pushilin said on his Telegram channel.

The Republic will always remember its heroes. “We have to help the families of the fighters who died for their Motherland, and in this particular case, we’ll provide all necessary support,” the head of state said.

The decorations were handed in during Pushilin’s visit to the militia unit where the two fallen fighters had served.*jk*pp
