Donetsk, Feb 23 — DAN. Ukrainian gunmen have shelled the Donetsk People’s Republic eight times on Thursday, said the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC).
“The enemy fired 40 155mm (NATO standard) artillery rounds at Donetsk and its suburbs from 00:05 to 01:45, ” the JCCC said. At 8:40, Ukrainian forces fired six 152mm artillery rounds at Gorlovka’s Nikitovsky district.
No casualties were immediately reported.
On Wednesday, Ukrainian army units used high mobility artillery rocket systems and western and Soviet-made artillery pieces to shell the DPR killing one civilian and wounding another, and damaging 18 homes and infrastructure facilities.*jk
