Donetsk, Apr 27 - DAN. A prisoner-of-war verification procedure is scheduled for Friday morning, 28 April, said DPR representative Darya Morozova after the humanitarian subgroup talks in Minsk.
“We managed to reach a last-minute accord that the verification procedure would start at 8:00 a.m. on 28 April,” Morozova said.
She expressed the hope that “no provocative actions by certain Kiev representatives would foil the accords.”
Earlier, Martin Sajdik, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine said the parties had worked out a verification mechanism for prisoners wishing to stay in the territory where they were kept in custody. However, it has not been clear until now when this process might begin.*jk
