Donetsk, Aug 31 – DAN. Dmitriy Trapeznikov has been appointed acting DPR Head in accordance with the DPR Constitution, Article 62.
The Article 62 provides for appointing first deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers the acting DPR Head if the Head is not able to perform his duties. In case the DPR head does not also act as the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers is appointed acting Head of the DPR.
Trapeznikov was born on April 12, 1981 in Krasnodar, his family moved to Donetsk in 1982. He has three degrees in civilian and industrial construction, economics and law. Occupied the position of the Shakhter football club manager and top positions in business structures. From 2010 to 2012 worked as the deputy head of the Petrovskiy district of Donetsk council.
He joined Donbass independence movement in 2014, fought in the ranks of militia. In September 2014 Trapeznikov was appointed the head of the Donetsk's Telmanovskiy district interim administration. Later became the head of the internal and foreign policy department of the DPR Head Administration, the deputy chairman of the DPR Council of Ministers. Has been awarded several DPR awards including the Order of the Republic. *ot
