Donetsk, Jan 2 — DAN. One civilian was killed and another six were wounded in Ukrainian gunmen’s artillery attacks on the Donetsk People’s Republic in the period from 00:00, January 1, 2023 to 00:00, January 2, 2023, the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) reported on Monday.

On Sunday, a man was killed as Yasinovataya came under Kiev artillery fire, and another six civilians were wounded in the Voroshilovsky and Kirovsky districts of Donetsk and Yasinovataya, the JCCC said.

Overall, Kiev army units expended 397 rounds of ammunition including multiple rocket launcher rounds over the past 24 hours targeting Donetsk, Gorlovka, Makeyevka and Yasinovataya. Damage was caused to 28 homes and 19 civil infrastructure facilities.

Kiev gunmen opened fire at Gorlovka in the morning.  The artillery strikes cut power to eight electrical substations and three boiler houses leaving 1,455 customers without electricity.

In the previous 24-hour period, eight DPR civilians were wounded in Kiev artillery attacks.*jk
