Donetsk, May 17 - DAN. Two hundred and fifty-six Ukrainian gunmen have surrendered at the “Azovstal” plant in Mariupol, the Donetsk People’s Republic Territorial Defense Headquarters reported on Tuesday.
“Overall, 256 Ukrainian gunmen have surrendered at the “Azovstal” Works,” the Headquarters said. “There are 51 wounded among the prisoners.”
The wounded are receiving necessary medical assistance.

The humanitarian operation to evacuate civilians from the plant was completed in early May.
