Donetsk, Mar 22 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations fired 290 rounds of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic over the past 24 hours (from 03:00, March 21 through 03:00, March 22, the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported on Tuesday.
The enemy used multiple rocket launchers, artillery, mortars and grenade launchers. One civilian was killed in the shelling and 32 were wounded including six children. Most of the casualties were reported in areas earlier liberated from Ukrainian forces.
The JCCC also reported damage to 25 houses and 12 infrastructure facilities in Donetsk’s Petrovsky and Kuibyshevsky district, Alexandrovka, Gorlovka and Yasinovataya.
The night was relatively quiet in the Republic. In the morning, the enemy resumed strikes at western Donetsk. Eight 122mm artillery projectiles were fired from the Ukraine-held Krasnogorovka. The Golmovsky settlement in northern Gorlovka came under tank gun fire. There have been no reports on casualties or damage in these settelemnts as yet.
In the previous reporting period, DPR areas came under fire 26 times.
The Lugansk People’s Republic reported three strikes at three LPR settlements over the past 24 hours. Damage was caused to five houses, a shop and a utility company building in the Donetsky settlement northwest of Lugansk. *jk
