Donetsk, Sep 19 - DAN. US Senate’s allocation of 500 million dollars to support Ukraine’s defence and security is going to be another impediment to settling the Donbass conflict through political means, DPR Envoy to Minsk talks Denis Pushilin said on Tuesday.
“The sabotage of the Minsk Agreements, delays in the negotiations, provocation shelling of the Republic's territory, rejection of Vladimir Putin’s peace initiatives, and the latest allocation of money for Ukraine’s armaments are by no means indicative of the wish for political settlement of the Donbass conflict,” Pushilin said in comments received by Donetsk News Agency.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Petr Poroshenko said that the U.S. Senate had passed the National Defence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2018, authorizing the provision to Ukraine of $500 million worth of military aid, including lethal defensive weapons.*jk
