Donetsk, Oct 16 - DAN. Ukrainian army units have violated the ceasefire nearly 330 times firing 181 boxes of of ammunition at the Donetsk People’s Republic since the previous meeting of the Contact Group in Minsk on October 2, 2018.
The statistics were presented at the Contact Group security subgroup meeting in Minsk on Tuesday, Donetsk People’s Republic representative at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said.
“Today, the security subgroup at the meeting in Minsk largely addressed the consequences of violations of the current ceasefire by the Ukrainian side,” Yakubov said. “Over the period from October 2 till October 15 (since the previous meeting in Minsk - eds Donetsk News Agency,) 329 ceasefire violations by Ukraine have been recorded."
Ukraine expended nine tons (181 boxes) of ammunition. More than 3,500 rounds were fired at the DPR territory overall, he added.
Over the reporting period, one civilian was killed and another was wounded. Thirty-seven houses, infrastructure facilities and three vehicles were damaged or destroyed. The most shelled areas were the Alexandrovka, Staromikhailovka, and Trudovskiye neighbourhoods in western Donetsk, Gorlovka outskirts and the Sakhanka, Leninskoye and Kominternovo villages in southern DPR.
