Donetsk, Jun 15 – DAN. Ukrainian army used a USA remotely monitored battlefield sensor system REMBASS-II during the shelling of Zaitsevo on June 15, said the head of the DPR Armed Forces press service Daniil Bezsonov.

"Yesterday, in the evening Kiev forces again shelled Zaitsevo. What is important is that during the shelling they tested the REMBASS-II remotely monitored battlefield sensor system provided by US representatives. The system's detection range for personnel is 0-75 m, for wheeled and tracked vehicles -  up to 350 m."

An elderly civilian woman was injured by this shelling.

The REMBASS-II that passively detects, classifies, and determines the direction of travel of intruding personnel and vehicles was accepted for service by the US army in late 90-s. *ot
