Donetsk, Feb 14 - DAN. DPR asked OSCE Special Monitoring Mission representatives at the Contact Group meeting in Minsk to press Kiev into meeting its commitments and prevent Donbass conflict escalation, Viktoria Talakina, spokeswoman for DPR envoy to Minsk talks Denis Pushilin, said on Wednesday.
“The negotiators expressed their concern over increased use of weapons banned under the Minsk Agreements,” Talakina said. In this connection, Denis Pushilin asked OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, as an international community representative, to urge Kiev to remember its Minsk Agreements commitments and prevent conflict escalation,” she said.
In the course of the meeting, Pushilin drew attention to the strengthening of Ukrainian forces positions along the whole contact line. He cited DPR intelligence which daily records Ukrainian military equipment transfers and replenishment of frontline ammunition dumps. Separately, he noted increased Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance in Donbass.
On Wednesday, Ukrainian forces shelled frontline Dokuchayevsk damaging two schools.
DPR Operations Command deputy commander Eduard Basurin earlier said that Ukrainian forces planned to unleash new fighting in Donbass in the period between March and June. The offensive against DPR and LPR will supposedly be launched on four axes.*jk
