Donetsk, Nov 24 – DAN. The LPR Head Igor Plotnitskiy's resignation will not affect the settlement of the Donbass conflict in Donbass through the Minsk talks, said DPR envoy to the negotiations Denis Pushilin.
"The Minsk talks shall continue in the current mode. There are no negative prerequisites after Plotnitskiy's resignation, as he has been appointed authorized representative of the LPR on implementation of the Minsk Agreements," Pushilin maintained.
He also congratulated the LPR acting Head Leonid Pasechnik on as assuming the office, following the DPR Head's congratulations.
Earlier on Friday Igor Plotnitskiy resigned from the position of the LPR Head for health reasons. The security minister of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik announced he was taking over power from Plotnitskiy until forthcoming elections. The ex-leader has been appointed authorized representative of the LPR to implement the Minsk Agreements. *ot
