Donetsk, Oct 18 – DAN. Peaceful settlement of Donbass crisis requires political decisions, DPR looks to the Normady Four meeting in Berlin on October, 19th to give an impulse to it.
"All the sides agreed that political decisions are necessary, but there are none. We hope they emerge after the Normady Four meeting and the Contact Group talks on October, 26th," said DPR delegation to Minsk negotiations head Denis Pushilin.
Overall there were no outstanding results of today's videoconference of the Contact Group participants, he said, "though important issues were brought up, namely escalation in the south DPR areas and Ukrainian armed forces assault attempts."
The Normandy Four format was shaped as the meeting of the heads of the four states – Germany, Russia, Ukraine and France – took place to resolve the situation in the East of Ukraine. It was held for the first time on June 6th, 2014, in Normandy during celebration of the 70th anniversary of Operation Overlord. The 2nd meeting was held on 16-17 October in Milan (Italy). The third meeting was held on 11-12 February, 2015 in Minsk (Belarus), when Minsk II agreement was signed.
