Donetsk, Mar 14 – DAN. Pushilin has asked the OSCE representatives at today's meeting in Minsk to assist in providing security guarantees to the Donetsk water treatment plant staff, said DPR envoy to the negotiations Denis Pushilin’s press secretary Viktoria Talakina.

"Mr. Pushilin paid attention to the security issues the staff of tgw DFS face. Hw asked the OSCE to assist in providing security of the personnel."

Talakina said shelling incidents involving DFS vehicles were organized campaigns of Kiev and "cynical acts of aggression against Donbass people" as a shutdown of the plant will affect water supply dramatically.

On March 12 and 13 Ukrainian forces opened fire on company’s vehicles transporting personnel to the Donetsk water treatment plant. The incident occurred in close proximity to an object occupied by Ukrainian forces. No casualties were reported, though one of the vehicles sustained damage.

On Wednesday the DFS continued operation as a new shift arrived accompanied by SMM monitors.

The DPR mission to the JCCC said Ukrainian military deliberately targeted the convoys.

The DFS supplies water to both sides of the contact line: DPR-controlled Donetsk, Yasinovataya, the Vasilyevka and Spartak villages, and Kiev-controlled Avdeyevka, Krasnogorovka and the Verkhnetoretskoye village. *ot
