Donetsk, Oct 11 – DAN. Over 28 thousand DPR citizens signed a petition against Kiev's failure to follow the Minsk Agreements at the second stage of collecting, according to the statement of the Donetsk Republic social movement.
"The second stage of collecting signatures against Kiev failure to follow Minsk Agreements brought us 28,145 supporters who signed the petition," the statement reads.
Signatures were collected across DPR.
DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko on June, 1st 2016, supported public initiative and launched collecting signatures. Almost 326 thousand people put their signatures to support the petition against Kiev's failure to follow Minsk Agreements.
At the Contact Group meeting on August, 3rd, DPR envoy to Minsk negotiations passed the document to Martin Sajdik, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine, asking him to hand it over to the UN Security Council and OSCE. Sajdik told journalists he will consider this request. DPR continued collecting signatures due to a high number of those willing to support the move.
