Donetsk, Dec 16 – DAN. The position of the OSCE coordinators of the security subgroup exacerbate Ukraine’s negligence towards the talks, said DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova.
She reminded that Kiev derailed a scheduled joint inspection of Shumy on September 10 aimed at probing engineer works in the area, as Donetsk accused Ukraine of equipping and extending their positions towards the Severskiy Donets – Donbass water duct arch in violation of the Additional Measures. Later Kiev refused to discuss and harmonize the coordination mechanism established to verify violations.
“Yesterday, Kiev representatives claimed that two months later they had not seen any new suggestions on the coordination mechanism and did not understand what they were to work with. It happens because Kiev has been trying for six years to substitute a side of the negotiations, without formally withdrawing from the Minsk Agreements,” Nikonorova said.
She expressed her concern over the fact that coordinators from the OSCE excuse Ukraine’s negligence with their non-interference policy.
“We believe such coordinator’s approach is doubtful from the point of view of the efficiency and logics.”
Today’s meeting of the Contact Group was the last one in 2020, and was organized in a videoconference format. *ot
