Donetsk, Sep 19 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic acting Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova was introduced at the Contact Group meeting as the DPR’s new envoy to the Minsk talks, the DPR Foreign Ministry press service reported on Wednesday.
“The new plenipotentiary representative of the Donetsk People’s Republic at the Contact Group, Natalia Nikonorova, has taken part in her first Contact Group meeting,” the Ministry said.
Earlier reports said that the Contact Group had begun negotiations in Minsk.
Denis Pushilin had been the DPR top negotiator at the Contact Group since 2014, but this position remained vacant after the parliament appointed him as acting DPR Head. Pushilin appointed to this post acting DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova.*jk
