Donetsk, Jul 20 – DAN. The DPR Army has retrieved an OSCE SMM UAV it lost on July 13, said DPR representative at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov, who handed the drone over to the mission.
"The DPR mission to the JCCC assisted the SMM in search for its lost UAV. The drone was found and handed over to the SMM in Donetsk."
The mission said an UAV had gone missing in its July 17 report. The SMM lost contact with one of its mid-range unmanned aerial vehicles as it was flying at an altitude of about 150m approximately 3.7km north-west of Shyrokaya Balka and about 4km south-east of the phenol sludge reservoir near Artyemovo.
"The timely request (for assistance) by the SMM allowed to carry out the search and to retrieve the aerial vehicle on the DPR territory."
Preliminary examination showed the UAV experienced a technical malfunction. Earlier DPR reported that Ukrainian forces are planning to use electronic warfare on the contact line. *ot
