Donetsk, Jan 11 – DAN. Kiev's shelling of civilian equipment outside Yasinovataya is a cynical disregard of the Minsk Agreements, said DPR Head Denis Pushilin commenting on the incident where employees of the Voda Donbassa state water company were injured.
"This is an outrageous violation of the Minsk Agreements. Obviously, those who shelled the area were aware of civilian presence there, and that the civilian equipment was used for humanitarian purposes. Ukraine has again showed a cynical disregard of the Minsk Agreements," Pushilin's statement reads.
He urged the international community and countries of the Normandy Four to execute comprehensive pressure on Kiev when it comes to the implementation of the Package of Measures.
"Ukraine indulges in war crimes and crimes against humanity. Ukraine has to be stopped."
On January 10, three employees of the Voda Donbassa company sustained injuries outside Krutaya Balka as they were cleaning the road to a pumping station of the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct and came under Ukrainian fire. Their vehicle was burnt down.
The Contact Group endorsed a renewed "Christmas" ceasefire in Donbass in effect from December 29, 2018 1:01 a.m. GMT+3.
On April 17, 2018 Ukrainian forces opened fire on a convoy carrying Donetsk Water Treatment Plant (DFS) personnel wounding five people. The Voda Donbassa state water company adopted a decision to evacuate the remaining personnel from the station, to shut it down and to mothball the facility for five days. Further on the DPR proposed several times during meetings in Minsk to make the area a demilitarized zone and include it into the list of disengagement areas. Ukraine has never agreed to it. *ot
