Donetsk, Jul 2 - DAN. Kiev representative at the meeting of the subgroup on economic issues in Minsk continued to block the coordination of the mechanism for resuming social payments in Donbass, Donetsk People’s Republic Foreign Minister, DPR envoy to the Minsk talks Natalia Nikonorova said on Tuesday.
“Kiev is stalling the coordination of the prepared social payments mechanism for no apparent cause,” Nikonorova said. “The documents are on the table. What more do we have to do, what steps do we have to take towards Ukraine’s unblocking the process?”
“The Republics raised these issues at the Contact Group meeting earlier in the day. We believe that setting any conditions in this matter is inadmissible. Social payments are a priority for the group,” the DPR diplomat said.
She said that at the previous meeting, the Ukrainian delegation had pledged to provide information on revenues and expenditure of the Voda Donbassa company to experts, but that no answer had been received.
“We regret that Ukraine sabotages the work on the Voda Donbassa Company; this issue worries us as the company’s stable operation means stable water supply to the whole Donbass population,” Nikonorova said.
The Contact Group and all its subgroups held a new round of Donbass peace talks in the Belarusian capital earlier on Tuesday.*jk
