Donetsk, Jul 21 – DAN. Ukrainian forces shelled the area around the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct outside Yasinovataya while Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Alexander Hug was inspecting the area, a representative of DPR in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) told DAN.
"At around 2.30 p.m. Ukrainian armed forces demonstratively open fire to intimidate (those present) in the vicinity of the 1st level pumpling station of Yuzhnodonbasskiy water pipe. Some explosions occurred right next to the station," he said.
The interlocutor told DAN that the fire was opened from 120mm mortars, the enemy also tried to interfere with the operation of an OSCE drone launched in the area.
"The Ukrainian armed forces tried to intercept and get control over the UAV, but failed."
Hug is currently inspecting the territory of the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct accompanied by a group of monitors of the Special Monitoring Mission. Earlier monitors recorded shots fired by Ukrainian troops at another SMM's UAV over western Donetsk. *ot
