Donetsk, Mar 19 - DAN. Ukrainian armed formations fired 21 120mm mortar rounds at the Spartak village outside Donetsk overnight to Thursday, the Donetsk People’s Republic militia reported.

“(The Ukrainian army’s) 57th (Separate Motorised) Brigade gunmen, at the order of war criminal Anatoly Mishanchuk shelled the Spartak village with 120mm mortars, firing 21 rounds in 30 minutes,” the report said. “The shelling caused a gas pipe fire on Putilovskaya Roscha Street. The Republic’s emergency service was only able to access the scene an hour later in order to contain the fire.”

The DPR People’s Militia told the Donetsk News Agency that Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Mark Etherington had arrived in Donbass on a working visit several days ago. “Today, he’s staying in the Donetsk People’s Republic territory,” a militiaman said.

The Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported that Ukrainian army units in the Opytnoye settlement area began to deliver fire at 23:35 on Wednesday.

The evidence regarding the Ukrainian army strike will be passed to representatives of international organisations and the DPR Prosecutor General’s Office.*jk
